The mating prompted the transition of quiescence in Polistes Fuscatus wasps

The purpose of this project was to determine whether this research showed a clear correlation between mating and quiescence in the life cycle of a wasp. This was done by observing a series of videos that involved three males and one female wasp in a glass container. For this part of the project, we conducted three treatments which included wasps that were non-exposed to males, females who were exposed but no mating occurred and the ones that mated. After this part of the project is done we will be performing several dissections. These dissections are going to serve as a way for us to view different gene expression, observe the reproductive trait development, confirm mating of gynes(female wasps ready to mate) and many other discoveries.
