Generation of CRISPR-Cas9 Based Gene Knockout Plasmids for Plasmodium falciparum

Malaria is a mosquito-borne disease caused by the protozoan parasite Plasmodium falciparum and is deadly, especially for immunocompromised individuals. This project aims to generate various plasmids that contain a target gene knockout, which will be used to understand the molecular mechanisms of malaria gametogenesis and transmission.
